Hey guys! It is unbelievable the way God has shown up in my life over the past months. Fundraising is definitely an opportunity to see the Lord at work. At the beginning of this adventure all I wanted was a millionaire to walk up to me and say “Wow, you look like someone that I want to give tons of money to”! And they would simply write a check and all my fundraising problems would be solved. After a while I soon came to the realization that it clearly wasn’t going to happen for me. This process has been very challenging in the sense of trusting in the Lord with this huge task before me, but once I was able to hand over my worries, He provided immensely for me. I use to see fundraising as a headache that I wished would just go away, but now I am so thankful for this task. I have had the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful people, some I have never even met before, but I am showered in blessing from them. It touches my heart to know that I have support from people all around. I have received great encouragement from all of the people who have walked through this journey with me. Because of the blessings I have received, I am so thankful to have raised over $7,000! It is hard to believe that an 18 year old girl from Lubbock, Texas could raise that much money. I have to have $10,000 by August 24th but I am definitely on my way. The Lord has called me to this crazy, wonderful adventure and He will provide for me. One of my favorite bible verses right now is “Here I am Lord. Send me” Isaiah 6:8. I am here and the Lord is sending me, and I am so thankful!
