Guatemala truly has changed me in wonderful ways. When I came on this journey I never imagined the growth that would come with it. The little parts of the world that I have seen have already opened my eyes to new ideas and ways to worship the Lord. Through the World Race I have finally stepped into a deep meaningful relationship with the Father. I am forever grateful for Guatemala and everything I am learned here. I could list off 100 things I am grateful for but, I will limit this blog to 10.

  1. God’s limitless love. I have seen our creator heal, save, and love countless number of people. We were singing a song last night where the lyrics go, “I used to think I could put you in a box.” How true is that? Any kind of walls I even semi tried to limit Him to, He just completely torn them down.
  2. The beautiful smiles. I will truly miss the pure similes of all the people that I have come into contact with.
  3. The public transportation. I actually didn’t love these school buses that they shoved 90 people into, but now that I am leaving I actually will miss the culture of these safety hazards. These buses are great ways to meet new people and share the gospel.
  4. The mountains/ volcanos. As most of you know I am straight from west Texas and love my flat farm land, but now that I have lived with these beautiful views for 3 months I will miss them.
  5. Maria Elena. I am definitely grateful for this woman. I have seen Jesus in her and I know she is a special one in the kingdom.
  6. The kids. Wow the children were so amazing and they just gave me a wonderful outlook on life. It was so sweet to see the simple joy life gave them. We had a ton of candy left over from Halloween when we celebrated, and we handed it out during ministry. The kids went crazy for it and they just lit up when they got to stuff it all in their mouths.
  7. The World Race staff that lives there. These people are truly wonderful. They fiercely love Jesus and are constantly chasing everything He has for them.
  8. The woman of San Lorenzo. These woman work so hard to provide for their families and be the best mothers they can. They are faced with hardships everyday but, they still find hope in Jesus. I love them and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for them.
  9. The snacks. They have these super great stores “Tiendas” that have all the great treats that I thrive on. Especially when I am missing home and I want some ice cream.
  10. The wonderful people that I am on this journey with. The World Race has given me a family to travel the world and chase Jesus with. Without these people I wouldn’t of been able to grow like I have. They constantly push me to look more like Jesus and I am so grateful for them.
