Dear Friends and Family,
Tomorrow I fly to Atlanta, GA to start my year long mission with and for Jesus! My squad and I will have a few more days of training in Atlanta, and then we will launch from there to Antofagasta, Chile.
This day has been a long time coming. The Lord has been preparing my heart for over a year now. There have been many things I’ve had to let go of, many hard goodbyes I’ve had to say, and many things I’ve needed to learn and grow from. It has been long and hard work.
But because of all that, my heart is more ready and more excited than I thought it ever could be to finally get to embark on this journey.
Thank you all for you prayerful and financial support to this point! I would not be ready to leave without it. Please please continue to pray for and think of my squad and I throughout this next year! We are so thankful for that and will definitely need it!
Matthew 16:24-25 says, Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.”
I pray my squad and I will learn what this verse means to a much deeper level, even more than we already have just by leaving for this trip. May the Lord mold our hearts to be more like his and may he pull us closer to him than we have ever been before.
