Hello Friends and Family!
Guess what? Month 2 is over… Wait, already?!?!
Yup, I feel like just yesterday I wrote a blog saying month 1 was over… (it actually was not too long ago haha….I haven’t posted in a while. Thank you for your patience :))
This past month in Peru has been full of Ask The Lord (ATL) ministry, lots of time with our whole squad, and lots of moving around. As you know, we started in Cusco and did a few different things there for ATL ministry. We also got the opportunity to go to Machu Picchu!
After that, we took a 25 hour bus ride to Lima, Peru. We have been in Lima for about a week and a half now. We have been with our whole squad here in Lima and have been doing a lot of leadership training and development. A typical day here starts with session in the morning, lunch, breakouts in the early afternoon, and then some type of outreach in the late afternoon. A few nights we also had worship.
Now it is time to head to Ecuador. The next two weeks is more ATL. The only guidelines we were given is to be in Medellín, Colombia on October 16th.
So my team will be spending those two weeks in Quito, Ecuador. We will be reaching out to different universities there and investing in those students. We will also be spending time investing into the individual relationships within our team.
Thank you for all your prayers and support! It has really impacted myself and my team!
Morgan has healed up pretty well. I am still fighting some “cold” symptoms but I appreciate all your prayers.
Please continue to pray for health and strength for my team as we continue engaging in ministry around the world. And please pray for comfort when homesickness hits. That has been hitting me a lot recently and I’m sure it has hit others on my team/squad.
We have a 38 hour bus ride from Lima to Quito on Tuesday, so please also pray for safe travels.
Love you all and miss you dearly!
Rachel
