We Are the Instruments

I had been struggling with the choice of which instrument to take with me on my 11 month journey around the world.

Should I bring my guitar? I’m pretty comfortable with it, but it would be a pretty big additional item to carry with me everywhere.

Or should I bring my flute? I’ve played it my whole life and I’m super comfortable with it, plus it’s small.

At Training Camp, one of the speakers brought something to my attention…

We really don’t need an actual instrument to praise Jesus, because

WE are the instruments.

*We have a voice for singing*

*We have hands for keeping a beat*

*We have feet for stomping out some cool rhythms*

That’s pretty awesome when you think about it!! God designed us as instruments so we could sing and play praises to Him when we literally have nothing.

Super pumped that I’M AN INSTRUMENT!!! And so are you!!!

In addition to the instrument of myself, God is leading me to take an additional instrument on the trip…a ukulele!!!

I started learning how to play the ukulele while at Training Camp a couple months ago, and I’ve really really enjoyed learning it. It is SUPER easy…I recommend trying one out!! It’s great for keeping a beat and even gives you a tropical feel!!

Here’s the ukulele I’ll be bringing with me, as well as the instrument of my voice that I will use to sing praises to our King. God led me to the song I’m singing in this video, and I wanted to share it with you guys. Thank you so much for watching.
