On May 8th, 2015 I graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Psychology! I can’t believe I made it! WOO NO MORE SCHOOL! (for now)
There are so many people I have to thank who got me to this point! First and foremost my lovely parents who have supported me financially and emotionally through this ENTIRE journey. I could not be more thankful to have you both in my life! You were there for me and also helped remind me that God loves me and that he supports me too. Without you both, I would not have made it to this point in my life and I would not have understood the love of God without understanding your love and support.
Second, I have to thank all of my friends who helped support me through this entire journey! I think it is safe to say that I have changed a lot since I first walked in the doors of my freshman dorm, and I have been so blessed to have friends who have been with me through it all! Shout-out to Rachael and Jennifer! I met you at UGA the first day and you both have been there for me at some of biggest highs and lows of my life. You helped pick me up when I was down and rejoice with me when I was happy. Also, shoutout to Hannah (my sister) who has also been there for me when I needed someone to call, a shoulder to cry on, and someone to laugh with! I love you sis! And shoutout to all my other friends, whether I met them at UGA or not, who have supported and loved me during these four years of my life! You are all so great and I love you all very much!!
Thank you all the wonderful people at CCF for accepting me into a loving Christian family and helping me to understand the love of Christ. You all have been instrumental in my walk with God and you have helped me renew my relationship with God. I love you CCF and shoutout to my crash group! You lovely ladies are awesome and I am so glad that I opened up to you!
God used my time at college to transform me into the person he wants me to be. He used some of the lowest points in my life and changed them for the good. God showed up at the perfect time. During my junior year, after I had spent the last two years running as far from God as possible, I felt the most hurt and alone. But then, God showed me His AWESOME love and brought people into my life who loved me and showed me God’s love. I was transformed from someone who wanted nothing to do with God to someone who embraced Him with all of my heart. He changed my college story from something I was ashamed of to a testimony that I can use to help and minister to other people who might have been through the same journey. Through God, I was completely transformed.
Even though this is the end of a chapter of my life, it is the beginning of so much more! I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me this next year with The World Race!! I cannot wait to grow more, learn even more about His love, and show others the love that God has for them!
Congrats to all of the other college graduates of 2015! WE DID IT! And GOOOOOOOO DAWGS! ๐
P.S. I AM ALMOST HALF WAY FUNDRAISED!!!!!!! ๐ ๐ THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
