Before transitioning to Central America two months ago, we switched teams for our third and final time. In coming up with our team name, I had been given the image of a small explosive. As we threw out suggestions, our team leader said “Tried and True” and we really liked what that stood for. It reminds us that God has been testing us and taking us through the fire many ways this year, and as we near the end of our time together, our desire is that we come out having been refined and proving true. We abbreviate our team name to TNT, seeking to be powerful for the Lord.
These six girls have taught me how to dream big and bold as God gave us the dream to take His Gospel and travel to all seven Central American countries these last three months. We also followed God’s calling to start up a business selling jewelry from local artisans to raise funds for missionaries (check it out here). I never could’ve imagined all that we would accomplish together as a unit. It’s been incredible and so fun to live among these ladies and watch the Lord use us in big ways to further His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven!
Here are the girls that make up TNT, and some of our favorite things! 🙂

During our final month we have one of our two raised up squad leaders traveling with us. Melo and Kylee are their own team, “Uno”, and rotate between the three teams. I formed a friendship with Melo early on in the Race although we have never been on a team together. This is one of the few months I’ve gotten to spend with her and I’m so grateful for our time together.

A few extra fun facts, Melo was adopted from Vietnam when she was 3-years-old, she has a twin sister, and she will go back on the field in January to help the next generation Fusion 4 squad start off their Race well! Be sure to follow her journey as she continues serving with Adventures in Missions!
