Team Forerunners
(In order from left to right)
Jaimie Rae – Oh, what to say about Jaimie Rae! She was my tent-mate the second night at training camp and I knew right then we would be friends. She is more generous then most people you will ever encounter and has a heart of gold! She is from Texas but has big city dreams from her Cali days. You will never see her without a smile on her face and her heart for The Lord is something that will push our team to be more intimate with God.
Amanda – Amanda is kind-hearted and soft spoken. Don’t get me wrong though she will speak her mind when need be and that is something I admire. She is one of the other ladies that switched squads with me. She is willing to surrender what needs to be to serve The Lord to the full extent. She is one that will be able to bring us all back to reality when we get caught up in emotions, seeing as we are a team of feelers! I am excited to get to know her better this year!
Major – Major is the comedian of the group and has stories for days. He will keep us all laughing and having fun over this next year. He also plays the guitar so we can have some worship sessions. Major is also the one that will push us all outside of our box. After training camp on the way to the airport we all went to Chick-fil-a and he had the whole squad doing a “backstage kitchen tour.” If we can make memories like that in Chick-fil-a of all places, I am excited to see what else he will get us into over the next year.
Matt – Matt is a miracle to our squad. When AIM was forming squads he wasn’t in our original group but got added after the last team building exercise. Most teams have 6-7 people; we have 8. We are so blessed to have him on our team, he is right were he belongs. Matt is an older soul and wise beyond his years. He reminds me a lot of my grandpa; always excited to see people he cares about and cares for them whole-heartedly. He also rocks a fanny-pack and I think that is pretty awesome! Matt is the one that will allow us to express our feelings more then ever.
Katherine – My Colorado girl! Katherine is also one that switched squads with me. She may look sweet and innocent but she is really hard-core! She is a Roller Derby chick, how cool is that?! She is not afraid to ask for help or prayer when need be. I admire that about her and hope that she can push me to be the same. She is also really smart, like super genius status. I know I will learn many things from her this year.
Paul – Paul is our team leader! He is cool, calm, and collected and will keep our team united! He is super genius status as well. Paul is someone that is not afraid to share his story when asked and doesn’t care what other people think of him. He also has some sweet dance moves. One morning we were running and while running he danced. What’s a good run without a little dancing anyways? Have I mentioned he has one of the biggest hearts? He cares for everyone on our team and squad and is always willing to help in any way possible.
Debbie – Debbie is kind, spunky, and passionate! Every time she speaks she speaks with such passion it’s unreal. She has a way with words that you know she is genuine. She is a creative spirit and will stretch our team in amazing ways. The girl can crochet like nobody’s business and I am excited to learn new things from her. She is also one of the ladies that switched squads. Between her singing and Major’s guitar we will have some awesome worship!
