So here is a look into what we have been doing for ministry in Nepal. For the past 2 weeks, we have had a different scheduled outreach each day. We have trekked to a Hindu temple. We have participated in a prayer walk through a nature reserve that ended in praying for a Buddhist temple. We have done prophetic paintings that were give to women at risk. We have gone into bars to try and rescue girls (age 14-16) from prostitution by connecting them with organizations that help them acquire job skills and safe housing. It’s been a whirlwind. One thing the World Race has taught me over the past month and 1/2 is to drop all expectations. It doesn’t matter if you are given a written schedule or told just 5 minutes earlier what the task is, it will always change.

So with that being said, for the next 8 days we will be doing village ministry in the mountains near Pohkara (a popular tourist area). We don’t have any idea what that looks like, but it’s kind of exciting in that way. In America, my life was just full of plans for the future. It was full of worries of what I was going to do tomorrow, next week, and next year. It is pretty impossible to do that on the World Race with a constantly changing schedule. It’s teaching me how to let go and live in the moment.

If you saw my Facebook posts, Nepal still has my heart. It is beautiful country full of beautiful people and I feel blessed just to experience it for a short time. So keep praying for us and we travel to these villages and get to experience true Nepali culture for the rest of our ministry time in Month 2. God Bless!
