Have you seen/read The Shack? If not, add it to your list. Better yet, push it to the top. I read this book almost 2 months ago, and I still reference it a couple times a week. It’s such a great representation of the Trinity and who God actually is. He is a God that loves. He doesn’t force himself upon you. He fights for you. He wants to be with you. He is always with you. He is patient. He is kind. He is loving. He is good. God is good.
So many times I think that all we see is the bad. Cancer, divorce, broken relationships, injuries, financial struggles, and death. We blame God for allowing them to happen. We ask if God is good, why does he allow these things to happen? He can’t be good with all the pain in the world. The truth is, we live in a broken world. Pain and suffering is part of this world. It’s part of the enemy. It’s how he gets control of our lives. We let the pain blind us from seeing God. We allow it to consume us, and miss the love that God is surrounding us with.
We all want to live perfect, pain-free lives but that just isn’t possible. You can’t escape pain living in this world. It’s part of it. BUT you don’t have to walk through it alone. God is ALWAYS with you. He is there to comfort you. He is there for you to cry on. He is there for you to show all your frustrations and struggles. He is good. He loves you for who you are at exactly where you are. There is nothing too big or shameful that you can’t bring to God.
God is good.
All the time.
&
All the time.
God is good.
If you don’t believe me, go find out for yourself. Sit down and talk with Him. Go read in the Word. He is waiting for you. All He wants is to be with you.
