So I just wanted to write a general update post, and then I'll attempt to write a more eloquent, pretty one for tomorrow or the next day ๐
I've been back in Denver for 3 weeks and 3 days. As I talked about in my last post, being home is wonderful and great, but also hard and weird. But God is here and He is good and He is blessing it. He has given me a challenging, yet great job at a restaurant called Hillstone in Cherry Creek. While I am "just" a server, it's taking a lot of His strength to complete the training. They do not mess around! In addition, I have reconnected with my Denver church family at Bloom. What a blessing those folks are; the Spirit is certainly alive and well there!
And in the midst of training and reintegrating into my life here, I'm working on getting prepped for the Race, of course! I'm finally getting better (hopefully!) about connecting with my squad (shout out to V Squad, what, what!) and putting out my gear list, praying that friends and family would have things that I need. For example, I talked with my mom's friend, and she may be able to get all my shots covered by a friend of hers, who is an infectious disease doctor. Prayers for that would be wonderful!
I'm just moving forward trusting that God knows what's up. Evidence of that is abounding. Thank you, my dear friends and family, for faithfully being part of God's plan for my life. Your love, donations, encouragement and prayers are surely being used by Our Father to make this crazy adventure dream a reality! And, speaking of, the Lord has provided well over half of my costs for the Race already!! I only need to raise $5,110 more!!!. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being faithful to what God has laid on your hearts. Y'all are the literal dream ๐
Oh. and did I mention that my dear baby brother, who has been accessible only by Skype for the last 9 months in Pichelmu, Chile, came home today??
God is good, friends. God is effing good ๐
