This week God has been giving me such an excitement and a joy about what He is doing all over the world.
I have a real peace about this process. The world tells me that I should be stressed out, that I should be anxious about raising my money and getting everything in order for the trip. I am focusing on resting in God’s timing, working hard to stay focused on the cross and be present in each day as this process continues to unfold… God’s will unraveling before our eyes!!!
My prayer requests this week are:
1) I am praying of course that the funds continue to pour in as I continue to share what God is doing. I also want to praise God for the support He is already providing and pray for smooth planning as people begin to come forward and help me in this process. I have a few couples from my church that are opening their hearts and homes and dedicating some time to throw me a fundraising/awareness brunch or dinner. This is amazing and I am overwhelmed by peoples willingness. I am also praying for some big donations to come through this month, praying that those people who have the resources and are called will be obedient and confident and can be blessed through their giving!!!
2) A personal prayer request is just that I can walk by the fruits of the Spirit. In my classroom I have a tough bunch of kiddos this year and I am really trying my hardest to deny my self and love them through the Spirit. Some days it is very tough but I believe that this is the best way I can love them.
3) That preparation for the trip continues to run and that it is successful. I have a lot of organizing, planning, scheduling to get done in the next few weeks.
4) My family. Please pray for my Mom, Dad and grandparents that their hearts can continue to remain calm and trusting in this transition. Losing their baby girl to the world for a year is hard and it is a big transition for all of us so I just want to pray that God can comfort them and allow them to have the energy to continue to support me through this. (each new day brings its challenges)
5) My heart: that I can remain trusting and confident in gods promises. That I can be open to the things that He is teaching me as He prepares me emotionally and spiritually for this journey!!
6) and finally… PRAY FOR THE COUNTRIES… Pick one a day and pray for the people. God is sending His Spirit and using us as messengers, Pray that peoples lives are saved!!!
