Greetings one last time from the Dominican Republic…
Things are winding down here in San Juan. It is crazy how slow the
days go, yet the month flies by so fast. Last night my team got a chance to go
have dinner with our ministry contacts at their home. Miguel and Kristin, an
American couple with 2 daughters, one who is only 2 months old, have been here
for 5 years. It was really nice to spend some time loving on them, and just
talking about life with them. It is so amazing to see how much they give for this
place, and their passion and heart for these people.
We will leave San Juan on Saturday morning… very early… 3 am! and
head to ireland… it will be a 28 hour travel day, whew!
Before we go we will spend one final afternoon at our ministry site.
Raton’s mom had her new baby 4 days ago, and it has been such a blessing to
welcome her daughter into the world with her before we go.
The canal is as far as we can get it without the materials we need.
Miguel assured us it would be done soon, as the materials have ben ordered and
are on the way. He will post pictures and I will get to share those with you
when it is finished which will be awesome. That project has been so great
because it is nice to do things when you know that it will directly save
lives… awesome.
I
plan on spending my final afternoon snuggling my two boys, Kennedy and Raton.
Giving lots of hugs goodbye and watering the seeds that have been planted in
the community.
It is always hard to leave because you
have truly built relationship with these people… but it is really awesome to
TRUST God with them… and rest in the hope that the vision and promises that
God has for these people are beyond incredible!
Thank
you so much for all your prayers and support. It has been a tough month but
through all of your encouragement and prayers I was able to rest in the Lord
and watch Him prove to be faithful as He always is. The fundraising drive we
