You are my strength when I am weak, You are my voice when I can’t speak, You are my all in all. Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails…I had plans to do ministry with the girls involved in prostitution in Thailand…I am now teaching English full time, performing dramas, singing, and sharing my testimony. When our team prayed yesterday morning I said, “I’m not a teacher, how am I going to teach English??? One of my rock star team mates said, ” it will be His strength, not yours”…I know that God places you in positions where you are uncomfortable for sure, to allow you to really depend fully on Him and not yourself…He gets ALL the glory this way. It’s not that I’m resentful that I am not working in the sex trade, it’s more like Ok God…I know you’re going to blow my mind with this ministry, I’m just not sure how…well after over 4 hours of teaching English to 7, 8, and 9 year olds, acting like a CRAZY person (not too far of a stretch) in front of 200 children doing an improv drama (and also singing and sharing some of my story), I thought to myself, yeah God, I can do ANTHING through You who gives me strength…we teach English for FREE in public schools, the trade off??? They allow us to talk about Jesus (wow! This is a country that is 94% Buddhist!), if you could only see the way these children looked at us as we talked about Him…ahhhh that sweet Holy Spirit, nothing like it..
