we were created for community.

so- why is it so challenging?

living life with 12 people has been one of the greatest yet most challenging experiences i’ve ever had.

and it’s only month one of the race.

we have been staying in the village of Caminul Felix which is located on a dairy farm in the middle of Oradea, Romania.  i’ve seen community life lived here like i’ve never seen before.

the farmer needs the rancher who needs the shopkeeper who needs the homemaker.

if one link in the chain goes down- the whole village suffers.

as i read the scriptures i begin to see that from the beginning life was meant to be lived out with each other

everyone created and gifted differently, so that when we come together we form one highly functioning body

“so the body is not one part but many

if the foot should say, “because i’m not a hand, i don’t belong to the body”

in spite of this it still belongs to the body

and if the ear should say “because i’m not an eye, i don’t belong to the body,”

in spite of this it still belongs to the body

if the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be?

if the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?

but now God has placed each of the parts in one body just as He wanted.”
