…dirt mud rocks shovels and pick axes…

This week for ministry our teams served the village of Caminuel Felix by helping begin the process of constructing an 80-home subdivision. these homes will serve as "new beginnings" for the adult children who grow up here and move into marriage and family life.

We showed up at the construction site and were greeted, "buna ziwa!" which means good morning or good afternoon by our new friend who speaks Romanian. After a few minutes of playing sherades we finally got the jist of what he needed us to do.  We picked up the tools and were released to begin digging a three foot deep trench for one of the homes water system pipe line.

As I dug up the ground around me, I began to recognize there is a greater digging taking place

…one inside my heart

With each shovel full of dirt that was removed to create a deeper trench Jesus was talking to me about my journey of struggling with fear and trust.

He was drawing the link between what was around me to what was in my heart.

Over and over and over and over I come to this place where God brings it up…. has me face it…talk to him about it….and then choose

to hand it over

to give it away

and place it into His hands

Papa God allows this to come up so He can expose it and then destroy it by shinning His truth and light on it.

Each time I go through this process I go deeper into His heart and begin to see more of Who He is.

And out of knowing Who He is, I begin to know who I am.
