There are a few huge changes that have taken place in the last month! For one, I’ve now been in Tulsa for almost 24 hours. It took me quite some time to decide I needed to go home. Since the start of the race I’ve gained about 30 lbs. Try eating that on, it doesn’t really work. I also have a lot of symptoms which signal a thyroid problem. I’ll be going to the doctor on September 8th to figure out exactly whats wrong.
Now for huge decision number 2. After I get my thyroid checked and some form of treatment started, I’m not going back to the World Race. I came to a point in my support raising where I needed to make another deposit of funds and I just felt like God was leading me in a different direction. After some serious prayer from both myself and some of my squad mates I’ve decided to go back to Nicaragua. I miss the kids there like crazy and I know that God has called me there. I feel so much peace about the situation that it’s amazing. God is so in control and is working everything out perfectly to get me there.
