I get on a plane tomorrow to head to the continent of Africa tomorrow. I wish you could hear my voice when I say “Holy crap man!”

3 months and 3 countries have gone by.  8 to go.

This month in Ireland has been nuts. But this week, camping on a field in Clondalkin, Ireland has been full out insane.

The first part of the week was The Awakening Conference… which. I still haven’t fully processed completely. Put simply though. God put us all in a blender, turned it on high, and churned out some confectionary masterpiece’s in our squad. We were all set aflame, walked into new gifts and into the new identities God is speaking over us. Many of us though, are still fighting to lay down the old ones. We worshiped like we never worshiped, danced like fools, and had the very foundations of our theology earthquaked open.

Friday started our squad debrief. It began with Jacob reading off the list of our new teams. Goodbye Lovesick 514. Hello new family. They, thankfully, had a mandatory 3 hours of silence to process and go to God as we let it all soak in. I litterally couldn’t move a finger or get up from my chair for half an hour. I was in utter shock. They took away my Jess and Matt 🙁 They did kept me with Garrett and Rebekkah, and added Anmari, Brittany, and Tom & Casey (the married couple). I didn’t even know where to begin with the news. I was numb, feeling neither good nor bad about it.

But as they day wore on, peace and hope quietly settled in. My new family started heading to a pub, and within the first five minutes of being together, an extreme excitement flooded over us. We knew instantly that it would work and be fabulous. Though we are as motley crew as a group of people could possibly get, we felt an immediate spiritual unity. It just worked. And we began to get super stoked for things to come.

In debrief with our squad leaders and coaches, we all got torn a new one. I won’t get into the specifics, but we’ve got a lot to be fired up about and a lot of work to do. But it’s going to be awesome. Africa is going to be awesome. So get ready, my dear blog readers. Get ready to hear stories of fire and power. Of intense, loving community and new life.
