Hey guys. Mostly I’m just writing this blog so I can post this picture of my awesome team … 🙂
But while I’m at it I might as well tell you what’s going on.
We ATL’d to Chang Mai, Thailand this month. We’ve kind of got a schmorgesborg of ministries going on at the moment, but our main focus this month is working with women caught in the cycle of prostitution/ sex trafficking/ slavery. We’ve been going out to bars at night, making friends with women, and just sharing the love of Christ with them. We’re all becoming Connect Four, Jackpot, Pool, and Jenga professionals while we’re at it. We also are spending alternating nights and people in intercession over them and our team members out there. (Oh yeah, we are paired up with Team Roar this month, which has been incredible). I never really enjoyed hours and hours of intercession before, but it seems now that I can’t get enough of it.
Chang Mai is an incredible city by the way. So much to distract and entertain. I even rented a bike this month to do some proper exploring:

It’s macaroni and cheese colored! And it has the funnest little bell which I am not in the least shy to use every 10 seconds.
Oh. Yeah. We went bowling for Justin’s birthday. I stepped a little too far over the line and the next thing I knew…
So yes. Good things this month. Great Thai food. Great community. Great ministry. It seems though that Asia is winding down.
We fly out Feb. 19th from Bangkok, layover in Tokyo, have a much a lusted over 12 hour layover in Los Angeles in which I am renting a car and heading to straight to Target and In and Out Burger. Then we fly to Miami, and then on to Nicaragua.
Oh yes. Just in case I haven’t told you yet, we are going to be headed to THREE countries in Central America. First Nicaragua, then El Salvador, and then Guatemala. If you’re wondering why you haven’t heard about this yet, it’s because, in true World Race fashion, it all just got decided.
But then… dun dun duh duh! My plane ticket is bought, and at 1250 PM on May 12, 2011 I will be strolling through the DFW airport, ready to rejoin the real world.
Anyways. I love you guys. Thanks for reading and keeping up with me.
