Hey guys….So here’s a quick update on my month:

My team (Deep Waters) is here in Kampot Province, Cambodia, a microscopic village 2 hours south of Phenom Penh. It’s beautiful here! We live amongst the rice fields and palm trees, constantly dodging chickens and pigs so as to not step on them, and sleeping under the stars in our tents. Ha. We could sleep inside the house, but that would mean leaving ourselves at the whims of millions of bugs, mice, and large geikos. So we have all opped for the safety of our mesh tents.
The view from inside my tent

Our kids watching a highly entertaining game of Dizzy bat in the rice field.

Justin and Nathan playing ball

Girls playing a game where they jump over a super high string…??? Steph attempted this today and got a nasty sprain 🙁

Our days are pretty busy here as well… A walk or moped ride to the market each morning to fetch breakfast, house visits for a couple hours in the morning, English classes from 1130 to 630, bible stories, and playing with kids and orphans all day. We have a fabulous, and hilarious, contact who is just 27 years old, but has started this youth center and is working on getting an orphanage going here in his village. He is literally just one person, but he has brought Kingdom to this place in huge ways.  We all feel blessed and privileged to be apart of this.

  Eating Dinner!

We’ve battled some GI sickness and extreme fatigue. There is only pond water to bathe in. And the bugs are discouraging. This place is more primitive than anything I experienced in Africa. But overall, I am having a fabulous month.

On our off day this week we went back into Phenom Penh. SO fun. A fabulous break from the village life. We got to go to the Russian Market where we got cheap DVDs to keep us entertained. We also got a chance to go to the Killing Fields and S21 death prison of Pol Pot era of genocide from the 1970s. (More on this to come).

Next month we will be heading back to Thailand, in Chang Mai, to work with a sweet medley of sex trafficking ministries. And then off to Central America for our two final months on the World Marathon, I mean, uh World Race.

Please pray for:
-health and safety for the rest of the month, but especially for energy
-Direction and provision for next month
-wisdom and peace as we are all beginning to prepare our hearts for re-entry into the states and what our lives will look like when we return
-for Kingdom dreams to blossom in our hearts

I’ll write more later, but I just wanted to keep you guys in the know for know

Love yall!
