I am in India, I am safe, and I am good!

It has been a crazy week that seems like a month but I have learned a lot and DONE a lot!

This blog will be short, sweet and to the point, just a quick update to let you all know how things are.

We are working with a ministry in Manipur, which is the North East region of India. To be quite honest, I do not feel like I am in India. Since we are in the North East region, it has more of an Asian influence than an Indian influence.

The food is great, our contact is awesome, and the scenery is more than gorgeously beautiful. But none of it compares to the work God has done in this area through the last hundred years.

Most of this region is predominantly Christian. In the 1800s an Englishman came to this area which used to be tribal villages. Years later, our ministry contact’s father left his village that had accepted Christ to study English in America so that he could translate the Bible into the Hmar language.

Long story short, because of that, there are many Christians and ministries in the area we are working.

So why are we here if this area has already heard the gospel and it is right at their fingertips? Because there is still more work to be done. Many of the youth fall away from God because they are not discipled and when the trials hit, they fall. There are many children that still have not heard about the love of God. There are also adults who still have not heard the gospel.

So far, we have helped the ministry in this area with “lawn maintenance” on prayer mountain. We spent a day using a machete to cut down weeds and tall grass so the people of the community can walk up to prayer mountain to pray.

We have helped with a women’s ministry in a nearby town by playing sports with them and bonding with them while showing them the love of God.

We spent a day ministering and helping a partner ministry with their children’s retreat which housed over 2,200 children. We played games, sang, and had a message about the love of God.

We have done a lot in our short week here and I am really excited for the remaining three weeks we have left in India! I am so grateful to all who have donated to help get me this far! Because of all of you I have been able to minister to children, women, and the community. I cannot wait to see what else God has in store this month! Please pray about partnering with me to continue reaching the world for Christ! I am at $7,818 and need to be at $11,000 by April! I look forward to partnering with you!
