Today my team and I went to a village about 40 minutes away from where we are staying called Grubjan. This village is very poor and smaller. The Church of God has started a branch off of the other church in Lushnja. The church is made up of all youth and children, so we went there today to meet all the children, to help them with their homework, made lunch and ate all together, played countless games of volleyball and soccer or basically anything, played cards, and loved the children.

My heart is so full, it was simply an amazing day of getting to know and love God’s beautiful children.

Learning all there names, laughing, tickling them, learning some new Albanian words and teaching them English, since neither of us understand each other’s language. But you can still play and love and have fun together.

I spent most of the time with a group of about 11 girls and once they all learned my name which didn’t take too long, every other word I heard was “Rachel, Rachel, Rachel!!” It was “Rachel look here, Rachel come, and lots of laughing!”

Ministry today was what I love the most is showing love to children and hearing them yell your name cause they know I love them. And giving them hugs and they give you that look, of completely happiness, but also slight shock, that this random person they just met loves them! These are the days my heart craves for is to show children the love of God, sometimes a love they have never seen, but when I hug them they know I’m different and that love is real.

So needless to say, today was an amazing day, and I cannot wait to go back and get some big hugs from these little girls who can never stop saying “Rachel, Rachel, Rachel!” And it warms my heart to know I have a amazing love from God to give them.
