It’s a game changer, it’s creates revival, it inspires people, and it changes people.
Love is something I feel so deeply in my heart. It’s something I can’t explain. Sometimes I love people I have never met, sometimes I love someone I see from across the street, or just random strangers everywhere. It’s something you can feel and see. You feel it in the air, in people’s spirits and in their words. You see love in people’s actions, their devotion, and their service.
Love is a thing from God.
It’s a thing I don’t understand.
And I think when I get to this point where I have so much overflowing love in my heart that I myself cannot understand how I have so much love, this is when I know it’s from God. Because God is the only supplier of life changing, light breaking, awe inspiring love.
Right now as I’m laying on this pull out couch with my best friend Mady, all I can feel from the tips of my toes to the top of my head is love. I feel is pulsing through my body and I can feel God reviving my soul to fill me up with His love to pour out to others.
And sometimes when you love someone you have to let them go, even if it hurts you more than it hurts them, your love for them is too big to hold on to them.
Love is a crazy thing that can span across entire life times, I have a cute old couple friends back home who have been married for 70 years, now that is some crazy unexplainable love.
Or that crazy love when you see an orphan and you are that person to actually show them love for the first time in their entire life, and you look into their eyes and see something changing in their mind. You see a gentleness and hope and this new love rush into their soul. And at that time you know that God has used you to be the very first light of God that child has ever seen.
Love can bring people to Jesus and love can change lives.
But one thing about love is that you cannot love people until you love God first.
This is because a love a human gives is a love given to benefit themselves, to feel satisfied, to gain something, to look good in front of others, or to love because that’s what your supposed to love.
But when love comes from God, it has no selfish motive behind it. It is a pure love to shine that first light into an orphans beautiful heart, to love a prostitute who has gotten so attached that she can’t stop now matter how hard she tries, to love a man locked in prison until the day he dies, to love someone who it’s hard to love. All these things are possible, and it’s easier to give God’s love to others when I think of the mistakes I’ve made and think of those times of God calling me near, drawing me in with his love. And how feeling his arms wrap around me radically changes me. And I think of how God’s love can do that for others too but sometimes God wants to use me, a vessel, to show his love.
So this is why I am in Albania and why I live each day with God’s love and not my own.
I challenge you today to be filled with God’s love to pour out into others a love that is not your own but from God. Because I believe that if every person who knows God’s would do this more and more the world would change. I challenge you to put away all selfish desires in your ability to love, and take on a new spirit of God’s love and be a light that some people might see for the very first time.
Love is a thing I learn more and more ankh each and everyday and I pray I will continue to learn everyday until the day I die. Because like I said before, love is a game changer, it creates revival, it inspires people, and it changes people.
There’s no better way to spend everyday than to pour out every ounce of love that God gives me.
