Hi everyone!
This is my first blog post, and I’m really nervous and really excited at the same time.
It has been a crazy ride the past couple of months for me. I never thought I would be doing anything like this! I went from applying for professional jobs to start a career to applying for the World Race, being accepted, and feeling like God is shaping my heart for full-time ministry. I think this is where He wants me to start!
I have been a little slow with getting the word out, because just last week, I took some girls to Young Life camp with me this past week. We went to SharpTop Cove in Jasper, GA, and had the best week of our lives. We got to see a glimpse of heaven while we were there, and a couple of them decided they wanted to follow Jesus when they heard of His great love for us. It has been awesome walking with these ladies the past few months.
Anyway, I suppose I will tell you a little more about the Race. I am scheduled to leave the U. S. for 11 countries in 11 months in January 2017. That is just a short 6 months away. I have a lot of work to do until then. There are so many different things YOU can do to help me prepare!
The #1 way you can help me prepare is to pray for me and encourage me. I will not be able to do this without a team of people supporting me, interceding for me, and uplifting me.
The #2 way you can support me is to give financially. There are many ways you can do this! You can give by clicking on the donate button at the top of this page. You can also give by giving me your mailing address, so I can send you a letter and a fundraising card. Yet, another way you can give is to help me raise funds. This may look like helping me design a t-shirt to sell, sharing this blog post to a friend or family member who has a heart for missions, or even coming up with an idea yourself on how to raise funds! All things are possible with God, and He will be faithful in what He has called me to do!
The #3 way you can help prepare me for this trip is: JUST HANG OUT WITH ME. I will miss my friends and family while I am gone for almost a year, and I want to see as many of you as I possibly can before I go!
