Ahhh…. There was a sigh of relief after I posted my first blog link to Facebook. I was nervous and exhausted…  I went to bed shortly after I posted it.

THE NEXT MORNING-

I woke up to over 100 likes and sooooo many comments encouraging me for my decision and commitment.

OVER 100 LIKES!

I am not typically the most popular person on social media. This blew. me. away.

I didn’t do anything. This post was not about me. Yes, I need funding and I want prayer support, but God is in control of this. All of it. He just gave me the courage to take a leap

                                                                                                               .

                                                                                                               .

                                                                                                               .

Just so I could land safely and comfortably in his arms. So that I have the courage when things aren’t so easy. When I am no longer in my comfortable bed, in my comfortable city, in my comfortable country. Graciously, he gave me a word today:

I had a conversation with my mother and father about this decision, only shortly before everyone else found out. I can understand that is difficult for them and, much like I did, they had many questions and concerns about what this decision means.

“what if you aren’t safe”

“but you are putting yourself in a riskier position than ministry in the U.S.”

“what if you aren’t fully funded? can you accept the possibility that this isn’t God’s plan for you”

Mom; Dad, I had these questions too. They make perfect sense, and they are scary.

Here comes the word:

SOMETIMES WISDOM IS TO NOT RUN INTO

THE STREET WHEN A LION IS PRESENT; BUT IF

YOU OVER-STAY WISDOM BECOMES FEAR, AND THAT FEAR

BECOMES A COFFIN FOR THE BLOOD OF CHRIST

THAT WAS MEANT TO RUN THROUGH YOU.

What this means:

God placed a passion in my heart

that passion is for missions

and its been there for a long time,

but I have been scared.

scared=fear

But God is LOVE

and with LOVE there is no room for fear!

so:

“what if you aren’t safe”

GOD

“but you are putting yourself in a riskier position than ministry in the U.S.”

GOD

“what if you aren’t fully funded? can you accept the possibility that this isn’t God’s plan for you”

STILL GOD

Really, the lesson here is TRUST. With all your soul, your heart, and your mind. That is pretty hard. Have you ever trusted anything just with all your heart?

This is what I believe:  The same way God has been working in my life, he is working in yours too. He has all the details figured out.

Like- how I leave in June for this mission and that is when my lease ends. GOD.

How the first post I wrote led to conversations with people I haven’t talked to since high school (about his Glory) GOD.

How when I have a moment of doubt he sends the right person to say the right words I need to hear to encourage me again. GOD

And how I am sure he is going to fund my mission, because he has put it on hearts like yours to go into the world with me and share the good news.

I did some math… 1+2=3

Maybe slightly more complicated math…

But if those 100 or so people that liked my post on FB donated $12 a month for 11 months. I would be 100% funded for The World Race!

$12! That is only one Starbucks coffee a week!

Another quote:

As Christians we want radical results without radical living.

Although this is true in some cases, donating one Starbucks coffee a week to be able to reach 11 nations is hardly radical.

Please consider supporting me through the SUPPORT ME tab above. You can make a one-time donation or monthly “Starbucks Coffee” donation that is Tax-deductable.
