the following are dictionary definitions..
risky: (adjective) full of the possibility of danger, failure or loss
business: (noun) an activity that someone is engaged in; a person’s concern; work that has to be done or matters that have to be attended to
& now perhaps the hardest thing to define/ the word that I am referring to as risky business..
love: an intense feeling of deep affection; a great interest or pleasure in something
I don’t know about you, but I don't think that covers it. It seems to me that that definition barely scratches the surface.
To simplify what He did on the cross to a deep affection, just doesn’t seem like enough… and with Him asking the Father for another way three times makes me think that pleasure was not a part of the equation. [Matthew 26:36-46].
But honestly, I think love should be viewed less as a risk and more of an opportunity. God is Love. So by loving, you really are getting to know Him more.. more about His character, as well as how He loves YOU. Ahhh.. what a blessing,
For me, being known makes me feel dearly loved and treasured. Just to be known. It’s even better when you are told you are loved more, not less, after more is known about the imperfections of your flesh.
Oh how He loves us.
A way that He reminded me today: I prayed and asked for Him to surprise me with support this morning and tonight I received $575 from only 3 people! WOW. [John 15:7 & 16:23-28].
How He loves us so.
ps. I just got back from training camp on Sunday and am happy to announce that I have been blessed to be on a team with 4 other girls & 2 guys. I am excited to do ministry with them/ love on people, as well as just live life. I will give an update of how training camp went later this week! :]
Grace & Peace.
1 John 4:16-19
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
We love because he first loved us.”
