Yes, I am still alive (I realize I haven’t blogged much this month).
Yes, I did a little happy dance when I realized that I survived the first half of the race!
Yes, I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in Malaysia (& it’s not over yet!).
The people here are amazingly generous! They make next to impossible to pay for a meal here. I have received red envelopes (containing money) from people I just met in celebration of Chinese New Year, even though I am obviously not Chinese. I have gotten to see and experience local hot spots and nationally acclaimed restaurants thanks to the people being so generous and willing to sacrifice their time and gas to take us around.

[My team along the river where they have lit up trees year round :]]
The amount that they give is ridiculous. Our favorite groundskeeper here at the church has been spoiling us so much! We come home to our bathrooms cleaned, rooms swept, an offered to have our sheets washed, a table filled with snacks and goodie bags, as well as homemade beef curry waiting for us after we just returned from a phenomenal dinner out with our contact’s family and a Christian couple from Scottland. Our friend, JM (the groundskeeper), also drove half of us to the youth meeting that we shared at a church a half hour away, stayed the 4 hours, and told us that it was a blessing for him to be able to serve God’s people and spend time with us. I am continually blown away by him, as well as others here. In the car ride he encouraged us by telling us that he has 100 people from the drug and alcohol rehab center praying for us, so not to worry. “The hard times ahead are God given.” He even told us that they pray extra on Wednesday, as they also fast. Today is Wednesday <3 Praise God for them all and for how the Lord has transformed all of their life and continues to provide in amazing ways for that facility (anything they need, they pray for and receive!).

[My insanely large &delicious Thanksgiving meal in Feburary! Did I mention that the turkey, roast lamb, corn, mashed potatoes with gravy and cranberry sauce along with the soup, dinner roll and fresh squeezed apple juice was all FREE? The owner’s of this place are Christian and invited us back for “a meal.” (I made mine into a few!)]
***[I have been challenged as to think who are more hospitable… people from Malaysia or people from Turkey! (kind of a big deal :))]

[On Valentines’ Day I got to share the greatest Love story I know with a bunch of high schoolers with some help from my translator 🙂 The crowd helped him a bit also!]
The only reason that I can think of that could possibly explain this provision and extreme generousity is God Himself. He has used His children, as well as several that don’t know Him yet, to love on us and care for us so well. I cannot think of a single need this month that has gone unmet! Praise the Lord! 🙂
I have seen Him be so faithful and it has been evident how He is at work in all the different ministries that I have been blessed to partner with this month. With that being said, I still have one need that NEEDS to be met by March 1st, which is my FINAL deadline 😀 Without meeting this deadline, I am unable to continue on the World Race! [scary thought!] I am trusting that the Lord will provide every dollar. Please consider partnering with me in this way! This deadline is quickly approaching and I need YOUR help, whether it’s your first or 5th time donating!
THANK YOU!!
