2 hour worship sessions (that still did not seem long enough). Laughing until our stomachs hurt. Dance parties. Being with people who "get it." Swapping Race stories and memories. Awesome free food. Signing the V Squad song. Random card games. Dance Parties
If nothing else, spending a week in Gainesville Georgia at Project SearchLight was worth it just for this.
But then on top of it, we had awesome teachings, and practical help with realizing our Kingdom dreams and setting goals for the future to make those dreams a reality. I networked my butt off (this is hard for an introvert) and got re energized and re inspired.
I know my dream is to empower children to know the love of God the Father and I feel that at least for the next season God is calling me back to Kenya. I am going to be home for awhile and am currently figuring out what that looks like as well as looking for a place in Kenya I can use my gifts and abilites and work towards my dream.
But for now, I am learning that as always, accomplosing my goals and being productive is a choice. And even when it is something I want to do and enjoy doing, putting on a to-do list seems to take all the fun of it. And if I don't have a reason not to, I will stay i bed in pajamas till noon.
So here's to dreaming big things, and then actually doing them!
PS I was able to attend the entire SearchLight conference FREE o charge (airfare included!) If you think that's as awesome as I do, and feel led to support AIM so that future Racers can have this opportunity, you can donate here.
