When I first went to Kenya in 2007, I fell in love with the country, the culture, the people, and the children. I was blessed to return in 2009 and feel a piece of my heart will always be there. I am so excited to return there for a month in July as part of the World Race.
We fly to Nairobi in just a few days! But there is a problem… I still need by $1,000 by July 1 in order to be fully funded, otherwise I will be sent home.
The famous phrase "Hakuna Matata" from one of my favorite Disney movies The Lion King really does mean "no worries," in Swahili, the language spoken in East Africa. In Kenya I learned to let go of my worries and trust God.
In preparing for this trip, the concpt of raising $14,300 was daunting, but from the beginning I trusted God to provide. Each time we have had a deadline looming, money has come in at the perfect time. I am amazed, honored, and blessed to have $11,300 in my account and another $1,700 on its way in monthly pledges! I am so close to reaching my goal…
Can you help me return to Kenya? You can support me by partnering with me in prayer, passing my blog along to a friend, or giving a financial gift.
I just need 100 people to give a one-time donation of $10, or 40 people to give $5 for the next 5 months, and I will be fully funded.
