What is the World Race?
The World Race is a Christian mission trip that travels to 11 countries in 11 months. Participants live out of a backpack, survive on a limited budget, and find themselves in situations where faith is the only reality to choose from. In partnering with existing missionaries and ministries, World Racers develop relationships with the "least of these", and through acts of service see communities and nations transformed all over the world.
Who are they affiliated with?
The World Race is a program of the organization Adventures in Missions (AIM).
Adventures In Missions (AIM) is an interdenominational missions organization that focuses on discipleship. We emphasize prayer and relationships in our work amongst the poor. Since we were established in 1989, we have taken over 80,000 people into the mission field, some for as short as a week and others for as long as a year or longer. Through our 14 bases around the world, we have year-round ministry to places where "the least of these" are found. We believe that by giving people the opportunity to hold orphans, bring hope to the hopeless, and pray for the sick, lives are transformed. We seek to disciple as Jesus did – our vision is that God would use us to raise up a generation of radically committed disciples of Jesus Christ.
What will I be doing?
The work I will be doing will vary from country to country and can include children's programs, building churches, door-to-door evangelism, fighting human trafficking, caring for the homeless, teaching English in schools, prayer ministry, street preaching, providing orphans with homes, reaching out to prostitutes, and feeding the hungry.

How much does it cost?
The total cost is $14,300. I need to have $1,000 in by the training camp in October (which I have already raised, praise God!), $5,000 before I leave in January, $10,000 by the end of March, and the full amount by the end of June. This includes: food, lodging, and air, land & sea travel. It also covers administrative, setup, coaching, debrief, and training costs prior to and at the start of the Race.
