Hello Yall!!!! My name is Rachel Hunt and I am from Independence, Kentucky. I’m 21 years old and am currently finishing up my associate’s degree in Biblical and Theological Studies through Boyce College. I presently work about 40 hours a week as a server at a restaurant called Cheddar’s. At first I hated being a server because of the stress that comes along with it, but once I got use to it, I was able to look at work as a ministry opportunity rather than just a job. It is hard working in a place where so many people have no hope in life and are surrounded with darkness, but I know the Lord has me there to shine as a light in his name.

I love to travel! I’ve been all over the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Jamaica, Ireland and in August I will be going to England. Something inside my heart stirs with joy at the opportunity of going into another country to a people who have nothing and sharing Jesus with them. I just recently finished reading the book of John and studying the life of Jesus. Jesus went and helped the poor, healed the sick, and loved the unlovable, and I too want strive to live the life that Jesus lived before us. My heart longs to serve the helpless, feed the hunger, and to share Jesus with those who are longing to hear his name.

I love music! Listening to music is great, but I so much more enjoy playing the guitar and singing. I have been playing the guitar for 7 years, and have been helping lead worship for all of those years. As for now, I lead worship at an event called the Pulse. It is a college gathering at my church that takes place every first Sunday night of the month. It is an outreach to the college age students in our tri-state area. Outside of playing music in church I thrive off of writing my own music as well.

Just in general here is a list of things that I love in no particular order: Ultimate Frisbee, Frisbee Golf, Scrap booking, reading non-fiction books, reading the Bible, watching movies, playing music, having cookouts, building bon fires, coloring, painting my nails and toe nails, Mac notebooks, ipods, taking pictures with my new camera, camping, hiking, doing hair, journaling, basketball/softball, Joneses Family, pretty much all sports, singing in church, playing in coffee houses, and so so so so much more!
