Dear Friends, Family, Acquaintances and Others…

I write to tell you about the wonderful opportunity I am so thankful to embark upon. God has put in my heart a desire toward the mission field. I am excited to tell you that I applied to an organization A I M (Adventures In Missions). They have a category of mission work that I was drawn to called,  “The World Race”, and I was accepted.

What this means for me…

The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 countries around the world. We spend one month in each country helping existing churches, orphanages, relief workers etc. I will be digging wells, painting and fixing up churches and orphanages, building homes, and distributing food / supplies; but most importantly sharing the love and hope that Jesus Christ Is. In some areas I will be camping in an African villages and in other areas I will be working with a shelters for prostitutes and children. Each area is different and each task is lead by God as to where He needs us and whom He needs us to love upon. I pray that I will be of help to these places and all of God’s children. Be it those I meet along the way or those on my team, I pray that I am able to show those following my travels the love of God as well.

There is so much to take in… the fact that I am even doing this is still blowing my mind and I am told, “That’s nothing… just wait and see what God is going to show you!”

Those that know me, or even have met me would attest that this is far from my character. What I had to come to realize is… (and this will be my test all year) isIt’s NOT about ME.” When God Calls… you have to GO. So I am, let God’s Will be Done.   I hope that you follow me on this journey. It’s going to be quite the adventure!

What this means for you…

More than anything I ask for your prayers… for safety, guidance, courage and peace. Of course I need to raise money for this journey. I pray that you would help in that way too. This money would go to food, lodging and travel expenses. As well as tools to use in a building project to coloring books and crayons for the orphanages we stay with. I am responsible for about $15,000.00 and have faith that God will help this happen if He truly wants me to go. I have full trust in Him and that I am being called to do this. I encourage you to ask yourself if you are able to give and how much. I promise you that you will see the fruit of what you choose to sow, because God says so…

“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for the proper time we will reap a good harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”                        -Galatians 6:7-10

Also from the apostle Paul…

“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and some to be teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”     –Ephesians 4: 11-13

I am very excited about how God may use me and what He will teach me through this experience.  I hope to be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you. My desire is to go as your representative of Jesus Christ. I hope you will prayerfully consider being a part of my ministry. I thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart.

So I close…

“It is in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ… he had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working in everything and in everyone.”            -Ephesians 1:11 (msg)

Peace… In Him.
