My Selfish Heart
Oh… Lessons from the Lord… Lessons from the Lord…
Sigh.
(Is this True of Me?)
I wrote that almost a year ago, but God showed me the laborers / harvest verse that morning of the post… (a couple days ago) and the blog spoke to me again.
It’s weird reading your own blogs and having it teach you new lessons… well… here’s the new revelation.
Remember the story… the Blog… the Book about His love notes… the heart shaped things EVERYWHERE…
And how God said that, I receive His heart through the Heart of Man (Hartman)… ok… I get it. And THANK YOU!
But… what about MY HEART dear Rachel… hmmmmm?
(I ask myself)
I have been selfish with my heart.
How so?
I have given my heart to GOD… it doesn’t get better than that… really. He gave me my heart and I continue to give it back to HIM… daily… my love, devotion, obedience… etc.
Well.
WHAT IF GOD WANTS TO GIVE MY HEART TO SOMEONE?
WHAT?
Heck NO… it’s MY HEART! I should be able to pick and choose WHO I GIVE MY HEART TO and WHEN. Right?
WRONG!
You are His.
that means You have control over my Heart?
YEP!
But seriously… think about it. Who better to have control over my heart than my Maker… my Creator… my Love… and my Life… ?
So. TRUST. Again TRUST… FAITH again FAITH… that God has my BEST interest at heart… that God knows the desires of my heart… and that God enjoys blessing His children that love HIM…
WHOA~
New territory for me… that’s for sure. 
TRUSTING GOD WITH MY HEART…
WHO – He chooses to give it to.
HOW – He chooses to work through it.
WHERE – He chooses to use it.
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
