Team:FIRESTARTERS

As X Squad (47 people or so) we were broken down to teams of 7 people after much prayer/interviews/ etc. by our WR Squad leaders and trainers. We have only spent a few days together but I can see the hand of the Lord in this. Basically we will travel together, share meals, laugh, cry, serve, care for, pray like crazy, speak life into, minister with, grow, love, get sick, be dirty, and all kinds of other interesting things…. Each of us brings a different story of redemption in Christ and are ready to start the world on FIRE for JESUS. Each team was to come up with a name sooo:
"As FIRESTARTERS we proclaim that we are going to start fires in the hearts of those we encounter and leave them forever changed. Just as a fire is needed for a forest to grow, so we will start those fires that are necessary for growth, healing, and restoration to take place wherever we go. It is my desire that we start a spiritual inferno in every person we meet and that this burning will last long after we are gone so that it will spread and become a contagious wildfire. The fires burning within us will only refine us and grow more intense as we continue to seek after the Lord with all our hearts." stole this from u taryn!!

"I'm 22, I've lived northwest of Chicago my whole life. I'm the youngest of 5 kids, so I will be the "much bigger then you, little brother to everyone" For the first two years after high school I had it all figured out. I had an amazing job doing construction in downtown chicago, I was building skyscrapers. I was living what I thought was the life. Then God came knocking and ripped me back into his house and I can honestly say that I'm happier now then I've ever been."

"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved."
Acts 2:42-47 ESV
