“Safe? ‘Course He isn’t safe. But He’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.” C.S. Lewis

A life lived for Jesus isn’t safe and it isn’t comfortable

And I’m okay with that

I’m okay with that because God is good. I trust Him completely. And I want to walk with Him faithfully and obediently

Since I have been home, the number one question people ask me is “So what’s next?”

What is next? This is a question I asked God countless times this past year.

And here is the answer He gave me

The answer that scares me

The answer that doesn’t play it safe and isn’t comfortable

But the answer that just makes sense and makes me freakin’ excited

Myself and 2 of my squad mates, Lauren Sigmon and Allison Edwards, are going to start an anti-trafficking ministry in the states. We want to have a safe house for women and children rescued from the sex slave trade. We want to disciple them and show them the love of Jesus and teach them about their worth. We want to fight for them. We are ready to go into the darkness and shine His light. I believe whole heartedly in this ministry and I am ready to do whatever it takes to fight against trafficking.

But the step before the ministry is… The Fellowship program at Adventures in Missions. No, I’m not competing to find the rings. And I’m not going to be living in the beautiful mountains of New Zealand. I’m going to be living in Gainesville, Georgia (Starting September 25th) for 6 months.

“The Fellowship is a 6 month program that allows emerging leaders to uncover their aptitude for partnering biblical principles with innovative thought processes. With an opportunity to practice Kingdom living in the workplace, our Fellows become equipped with an increased capacity to live out their faith through their work and the tools necessary to turn their dreams into a reality.”

As a fellow I will

  • have a professional mentor
  • have a spiritual mentor
  • will be connected with leaders in the community for the purpose of developing networking skills, getting to know leaders in the anti-trafficking field and increasing my knowledge in this field.

Just like the World Race, I have to support raise for the Fellowship Program. I definitely fought God on this for a while but I said that I would follow Him and this is what He is calling me into. If you would like to support me- you can click the support me link on my blog. I already have $1,700 of the $9,950 that I have to raise.

Thank you for your constant support and encouragement. Please feel free to email me ([email protected]) or call me (678-488-9980) if you have questions or just want to chat!
