My father has been through a lot.

He was one of the first 20 teenagers to be segregated into a public white high school in Arkansas.

He was indirectly involved in the mafia when he was in his 20’s, and had to flee when one of his friends was tied to a railroad and run over when he tried to escape.

He lived his whole life believing that he was following God, but he never really understood.

This morning I was talking to him, and he was telling me about his plan to read every book of the Bible this year, which is a huge deal for him.

And then he told me what he had heard yesterday when he was getting ready for work.

He was listening to a pastor on TV, and the pastor said a statement that shook him to the core:

“Do you realize that you are covered in the blood of Christ? YOU are covered in the blood of Christ.”

And my dad said to me:

“I cried. Amazing that after all these years, I now understand! No matter what happens, I am COVERED in the blood of Christ! Bring the struggles on!”

He is 65. He became a Christian a couple years ago. And he has grown leaps and bounds.

He is not the father he was two years ago.

What does this have to do with Thailand?

Nothing really.

But seeing my dad turn into an amazing man of God is a dream I honestly never thought would come true.

And I am so glad to be proven wrong.

God is always faithful. Even when we are not. (2 Timothy 2:13)

And I am amazed that my God is so powerful that even as He does miracles here in Thailand, He is also doing miracles in the hearts of my loved ones thousands of miles away!

Thanks for reading! An update on our ministry is coming soon! We are still ironing out some details.
