As you can imagine, in the middle of a Chiquita plantation, there are no community showers or bathtubs. There are rivers though. So this blog is a step by step look at what we had to do to bathe the 5 days we were in the banana jungle:
Step 1: Grab necessary items and start walking
Step 2: Walk past this river. DO NOT swim in it. It has crocodiles in it.
Step 3: Walk through the mud for about 15 minutes.
Step 4: Enter the jungle path for another 10 minutes.
Watch for snakes.
Step 5: Watch your head!
(Thatwas actually a tree hanging over the path)
Step 6: You have arrived at the river.
Step 7: Grab your soap and enter the water.
Keep a firm grip on the soap at all times.
Step 8: Bathe.
Step 9: You are now as clean as possible in the jungle.
