Continent # 3
Month 8

(From the mini TV on the plane)

Well, these past nine days have been a little crazy!

1. We took a bus from Phnom Penh, Cambodia to the border of Cambodia/Thailand.

2. We took six vans from the border to Bangkok International Airport.

3.We waited around five hours, went through security, and then waited about three more to board the plane.

4. As we were sitting on the tarmac, getting ready to head out, the right engine stops working. So, we sit for about 15 more minutes waiting for the engineers to fix the problem. And then we took off.

5. A little less than 10 hours later, we were landing in Nairobi, Kenya, four hours earlier than we left. So for those who are confused, we are now four hours closer to EST. A.K.A, it is 10:57AM right now, and it is 3:57AM on the East Coast.

6. So, all 61 of us were put into vechicles and taken to a backpacking hostel for two days. At six PM on the 28th, we were taken to our Contact’s house.

Our contact this month, Pastor Joseph, has an AMAZING family. This beautiful little girl is named Patience, and she is the happiest child I have ever met! His wife, Mercy, is also an amazing woman of God, and has a killer voice.

(Deliverance Church – DC Southlands)

This is their church hall, a place that they and the last five World Race teams that have been here have been praying and fasting for. It is on the Ngei Primary School property, and is beautiful. It is a church plant from the mother church, and is still very new.

Speaking of beautiful…

This country is breath taking.

And in this gorgeous country, my team and I are doing every kind of ministry possible.

We are walking around the community and inviting people to church. We are going into people’s houses and having tea with them. We are sharing Christ with strangers walking down the road. Krystle and Josh are part of the Sunday Service worship team. Bri and I are teaching the kids. Jacinda, Jessica and Krystle are each leading an adult Bible study on Sunday mornings. We will be teaching English to kids Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting next week. And we are constantly fellowshipping and loving on Pastor Joseph’s family.

In short, we are busy, busy, busy this month.

And I love it.

Oh, and it is COLD! Yay! I even bought skinny jeans…No judgment!

Sorry it has been so long. Internet is a bit more complicated in Africa, but we are working it out.

Please comment…it is like a virtual hug 🙂
