If you had asked me a few years ago what I saw myself doing at age 21 I never would have guessed it would be traveling around the world for eleven months.  But God has plans beyond what I can imagine.
Many people have asked what drew me to the World Race.

First and foremost, I want to live my life following God and growing closer in my relationship with Him. Being on the WR gives me an opportunity to see Him work, share His love, and take my relationship with Him to a whole new level.

In Matthew 28:19 He calls all believers to, “go and make disciples of all nations”.  It’s not an optional thing for a select few who are serving overseas.  Every single believer is called to proclaim His name wherever they are.  This could be overseas in Uganda, in Haiti, in Colombia, or it could be on a college campus, in your workplace, in your home.  Wherever God has placed you, He wants you to proclaim His name.  I don’t think God cares as much WHERE we are but whether we are actively seeking after Him and sharing His name.

At this point in my life my options are wide open. After I graduate in May I could get a full time job, go to grad school, or so many other things.  But then I think that I may not ever have 11 months where I can just leave everything and go somewhere.  So why not travel the world, serving the Lord and sharing with others the freedom that Christ offers? I started praying about doing this several months ago and the Lord has confirmed this is the right decision.  To me the WR sounds like the perfect mix of adventure, ministry, travel, and seeing God work all over the world.
