I’ll never forget the day it poured in Cambodia.

Often in the afternoons there are dark clouds that roll in and offer a few drops of rain to cool it down.  But this one afternoon there were more than a few drops.  I was sitting outside reading, thankful for the breeze that had picked up and the clouds covering the sun.

All of a sudden, with no warning at all, the clouds burst open and it began to POUR!  I dashed to under our house that’s on stilts for cover, intending to continue reading, thinking that the rain would be over in a few minutes as normal.  But there was nothing normal about this rain.

After several minutes I realized this rain was here to stay for awhile.  There were a few kids that had already realized this as well and were out splashing in the puddles quickly forming in the rice fields that were dry just a few minutes before.

I saw the opportunity- ran inside, threw my book down, changed clothes, and grabbed my waterproof camera.  My teammates were all thinking the same thing.
A minute later we were running outside to join the kids in the puddles!!!

There were several kids waiting for English classes to start and as they saw all their teachers (us!) getting soaked in the rain they decided to follow suit.  Pretty soon there were over twenty of us yelling and enjoying the rain pouring on our faces.

There was so much….
