The Christmas Story. Two short chapters but they contain such a significant story. The beginnings of how we can have a relationship with Christ, the first Christmas carol (yep, it’s true! Mary’s Song, Luke 1:46-55. She praised the Lord for what was happening), the start of a humble life lived by Jesus, and we see God working throughout the entire story.
Reading through the chapters this morning a verse caught my attention.
Luke 2:6- “While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born…”
A seemingly simple verse. But think about it. The time came.
THE time that everyone had been waiting for since the beginning of time.
THE time that had been written about throughout the Old Testament.
THE time that God had promised to all humankind.
THE time that would change the world.
A short moment in time but it made all the difference in the world. I thank God for this time and all the small moments in time that He orchestrates to bring us all closer to Him.
