Doesn't the voice of God come automatically and free flowing in my life as soon as I start following Christ?  Ha, I wish it were that easy! He longs for us to listen to Him but often we're too distracted with our lives.  Listening for Him takes patience and attentiveness. Elijah heard the voice of God in the least expected way, a gentle whisper.

One of my fears is that I'll miss opportunities that God places before me. That somehow I'll miss out on using my strengths to the fullest, whether this comes from not being aware of situations, feeling inadequate and not following through with what I should, being too focused on the wrong thing, or any other reason.

I don't want to finish the race, and life, not giving my all, and looking back at the end thinking that I should have done more.  I believe God has called me to do great things, to serve my team, and the people we're working with.  I want to take advantage of every opportunity to the fullest. I know that Satan does not want me doing this and will do everything in his power to make sure I'm not on this path but I also so strongly believe that the power of God is SO MIGHTY that He can use me no matter what happens.
Seeking Him and listening for His voice are an essential part of being able to do this.  Waking up each day and asking, "what do You have for me today, Lord? To teach me, to show me, to tell me."
What do you do to stay in tune with Him and continue to follow His will?
