Each month when we arrive in a place it’s always back to the basics of learning what food, water, sleeping arrangements, and day-to-day life look like.  This month has been no exception.  We are staying in a church in a small village about 5 hours south of Kathmandu.  We’re living in a small one-room church with a pastor and his wife.  They have partitioned a section off for themselves and a section for us girls.  The boys sleep in the main room.  Talk about community living!  On Saturdays, when we have church service we have to pack all our stuff and put it in a corner to make room for everyone!

Our ministry so far looks like visiting believers houses to encourage and pray with them, playing with the kids of the community, and reaching out to the Hindu people and inviting them to church.  I’ve also found that a part of our ministry is to encourage the contacts we’re working with.  They do this for a living and I can see how it would be tiring so us coming in can be refreshing for them.  Pastor Philip and his wife so sweet, caring, and extremely hospitable to us and we’re doing everything we can to encourage them while we’re here.  It’s been interesting trying to understand our pastor’s broken English in the midst of it all!

What you can pray for
– Pastor Philip and his wife.  They started the church 1 ½ years ago and continue to work to grow it.  They have such servant’s hearts and are giving up so much to be able to focus on the Kingdom.
-For our newly formed team, Team Jubilation, to grow in unity.  The 6 of us work well together and want to continue to grow into what the Lord has for us as a group.
-Ministry isn’t very structured so pray that we take advantage of the time we have here and search out opportunities to build relationships and serve here.
– The village people we are ministering to.  That the believers would be continue to grow in spirit and truth and that seeds will be planted in the hearts of non-believer’s.
