This morning I got to wake up in Guatemala, take a warm shower, and go rest on a couch while reading my Bible. I am truly blessed.
This month my team (KALEO) and I will be working in a wheel chair factory, Hope Haven. Before going to the factory yesterday our ministry host, Eilse, brought us to the guest house in which we will be living for the next 3 weeks. It is amazing! We have beds, warm running water, a kitchen to cook in, and even a couple pet dogs running around! We feel so blessed and spoiled, because this ws not expected.
Today I witnessed joy in its purest form. Yesterday we built wheelchairs; today we got to give them away! Three families had their lives changed, and I got to be a part of it. It doesn’t get a whole lot more wonderful than that!

Meet Pablo and his parents, Mercedes and Maria. . Pablo is three years old and has Down syndrome. He will one day walk, but it will take time and patience. He is one of the most joyful children I have ever met, so eager to move and dance! (The man in the black shirt is Thomas, my team leader. The two in white shirts are PT students who were volunteers)

And this is Rodger (and my team mate Laura). He is 13 years old and has Cerebral Palsy. He will never walk, but he loves soccer
Again I will say it, I AM BLESSED. It is hard to believe that this is my life. God is good!
