Training Camp
Today I depart on the first step of my journey…training camp! It is an 11 day discipleship training to prepare us for elements on the World Race. I also will meet my team. YAHOO!
We will be camping the entire time and eating foods associated with the countries we are traversing to. We also will endure the dreadedddd fitness test (bum bumm bummmm)….ahhh just kidding—it’ll be a piece of cake! 3 miles in 50 minutes with all of our gear on our backs. I did train once for it and I decided once was enough seeing that my mom helped me pack my bag. Instead of packing my clothes and tent in my pack, we packed books, dumbbells, cans of beans, and jars of pickles. If the clinking didn’t drive me batty the sloshing did! Needless to say, my mother did NOT help me pack for training camp 😉
::IMPORTANT INFORMATION::
I am having a chili feed and bake sale at the Hayward Wesleyan Church on June 25th. All proceeds go towards the World Race. Also, stop by to see items for sale and the gear I am bringing on the trip. Heck! Just stop by to see me. I would love to talk!
I am 40% financially funded for my trip!! Thank you to all of my prayer and financial supporters! I am aiming to raise $10,000 in two months (before my departure). That’s a big number but my God is bigger. So let’s show people how big God is. Contact me for ways to get involved!
I will write another blog after I survive training camp—with pics too!
