1. I once got pulled over by a police officer while I was walking down the street because I looked suspicious. I was wearin my hoodie and eatin a sandwhich on my way to church..not sure how that’s suspicious.
2. On a very long bus ride to Florida I came up with 10 different personalities for myself. All with different names and voices. At one point I even made up different backgrounds for them and was gonna take pictures of each personality but never got around to it 🙁
3. I absolutely love storms! Everything about them!
4. I’ve never had my ears pierced.
5. I love to wear colored socks. I hardly have any white ones. And my colored socks usually don’t match.
6. I have a scar on the back of my left hand from my sister playin the alphabet game. (the alphabet game: someone scratches a small part of the back of your hand while you go through the whole alphabet sayin a word that starts with each letter. Apple, Bear, Cat, Dog, etc.. apparently my sister scratches hard!)
7. I have what I like to call the “blank slate”. I can just turn my thoughts off and not think about anythin. Literally nothin goin on in my head. It’s a blessing and a curse.
8. I’ve always wanted to play football in the rain. It just looks like fun. None of my friends really go for it though.
9. I once got facial cellulitis and my face swoll up so bad you could hardly see my nose. My face looked like one big ball. I then got the nickname blow fish for a while.
10. I hated writin papers in English class but I love to write “stories” in my journal.
11. Both of my brothers and both of my brother-in-laws are in the service. The only branch of the service we’re missing is the Marines. So my mom says that I have to marry a Marine to complete the family.
12. I have never seen a John Wayne movie. And in Texas I think that’s a crime worthy of capital punishment.
13. The first, and only, time I went skiing I didn’t get off the lift and headed half way up the mountain. It was my first day to ski so needless to say I was scared outta my mind! Luckily my dad was behind me and went down the mountain with me. I didn’t make that misktake again.
14. I was riding one of those really big water slides where you go down on tubes at Splashtown. The guys pushed me before I was ready and I ended up slippin of my intertube. So the whole way down the slid I rode down without a tube and yet tried to get back on the tube while goin down the slide.
15. I don’t like heights and I don’t like the feelin in my stomache when goin down the big drop on a rollercoaster. Yet I want to go cliff diving.
When you sponsor a child it not only provides a hot meal, clean water, discipleship, and basic medical care for the child, it also supports their family by inviting them through the gates of the CarePoint to receive training, discipleship and mentorship.
