Worship in Peru- Read Romans part of Ch.7, and 8- What is God speaking?
This morning Phil. 1:27 to 2:4 is on my heart to share with everyone. It reads:
1:27 “Above all you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing side by side, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News. Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself. For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ, but also the privilege of suffering for him. We are in this struggle together.You have seen my struggle in the past, and you know that I am still in the midst of it.
2 Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and one purpose. Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out for your own interests, but take an interests in others too.”
I read this passage to my team, and team HIS this morning for worship, because the Lord had laid it on my heart to get rid of fear of speaking up, and challenging each other, and really being there for each other like the body of Christ should be. Then we read part of Romans 7, and 8 and just prayed into what God was telling us individually through those scriptures. I thought about just sharing what he had taught me 2 days before, but felt the word to “press in more” and “be willing to be taught a new thing”. I have been asking that scripture would be alive and moving, and God is showing me that it is. Here is what the Lord told me about the same scripture this morning- my heart was in a different place to hear a new thing.
Dear Raquel-
It’s okay to make mistakes. You belong to the king. He will lift you up. He loves you when you step out for him. He has freed you. He declared you are his daughter, and he wants you. he gave his son for your freedom. That’s how much he wants this relationship with you. He gave you freedom from your sinful nature, and put his spirit in you to fight for you. He is fighting for you!
Don’t stifle the Holy Spirit in you, because when you do your sinful nature takes over. When you feel your flesh taking over DECLARE you are free. The same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives inside you. That same POWER and AUTHORITY dwells in you, and sin is death so you have power through my spirit to conquer that death.
Your are my daughter and I want you ALIVE in me. CHOOSE me. You are not a slave, but a princess, and I am ABBA, your father.
- At this point I opened it up for anyone to read what God had told them, and only 2 people spoke up. Something that stuck out that my sister Shida said was, ” It ain’t hope if you gotta see it to believe it.” It’s so cool How the Lord speaks to us each uniquely. In moments like this where I feel like there is going to be a huge response, because it was so pressing on my heart and an impact for me, and then that doesn’t happen it’s easy for me to feel insignificant, like I heard God wrong, or just frustrated that we still aren’t at that totally transparent community level. So after everyone left I sat in silence listening to what he was speaking through the rest of the scripture, and this is what I got.
Rachael-
Don’t judge or take it as a reflection on you. Some doors need to be pried open. You are a pryer. Get over yourself. Get over always needing to be liked and start stirring things up. You encouraged Jeremias to be controversial, you need to be too. You’re a mover and a shaker. You always have been. Get used to being MISUNDERSTOOD. You’re family and friends will most likely misunderstand you a lot from now on, but don’t lose HOPE. I am working in them. I am working in their lives, even if you can’t tell.
Lead from your weaknesses. Where you need to change and sacrifice; be the first to DIE in that area. Does that mean you’ll be LAST? Um, Yea. But in doing so you are lifting up your brothers and sisters. Your hands; servants hands, healing hands are their steps. That tingling you feel in your hands, the shaking in your heart and chest is my spirit. DON’T DOUBT. You ARE a woman of FAITH. Your words CREATE life where you are. Your declarations break walls in the enemies strongholds, and create a dome of protection. A bubble of JOY. Take it with you, like a hamster ball, you can roll anywhere in it. Don’t soak in an attitude or environment. Bring my attitude and the environment will be set by my spirit.
