The other night I woke up on my sleeping pad and realized my stomach was really hurting. I thought, “well maybe I can sleep this off.” I tried to go back to sleep and move around to be comfortable but nothing worked. I realized that this wouldn’t be fixed by sleeping, that I needed to get up and visit the “Water closet” as it is called here in Cambodia. I thought, ” This might take a while. I should take my bible” So I did and the lord led me to 1 Samuel chapter 5.

” When the Philistines captured the ark of God, They brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod. Then the philistines took the ark of God and brought it into the house of Dagon and set it up beside Dagon. And when the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the LORD. So they took Dagon and put him back in his pace. But when they rose early on the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the LORD, and the head of Dagon and both his hands were lying cut off on the threshold. Only the trunk of Dagon was left to him. This is why the priests of Dagon and all who enter the house of Dagon do not tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to his day.”

It goes on to show that the hand of the lord was heavy on the philistines until they returned the ark to it’s rightful place with the Israelites. I was so blow away. This is the entry from my journal after the word “on the throne”:

” Lord show this nation that even their stones statues when in the presence of your holiness must fall, bow and worship you. Lord thank you that you will work until you are set back to your rightful place which is the high throne and the place of honor and worship. We shall have no other gods before you . You are the one true God and you proved that with Dagon. Please prove that with Buddha and Allah and all the other hundreds of Hindu gods here in Cambodia. Set up the ark of your presence here so that these people might worship you and you receive all the glory and the Cambodian people might find their joy in your presence.”

Lord make your name known throughout the nations so that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that you are Lord to the glory of your great and holy name!
