Life is more than errands and following daily rhythms. It’s about moving at your own drum. It’s about lying in the grass. It’s about catching fireflies and letting the waves catch you. Life is too short to play another individual’s role. The key is to be yourself and follow God’s purpose for your life. Life has many adventures, connections, and stories. I write to keep track of the rhythms of my own drum. So, as I write feel the rhythms of my drum and read the lines of my heart and mind.

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3: 12 – 14
