Sixteen months ago I looked at my Blog page for the first time. I couldn’t believe I was actually doing this thing. It was an exciting time, but I had a lot of fear. I had no idea what the next year leading up to Launch was going to look like or what my year on the race would entail. There were a lot of unknowns and to top it all off I had to raise 17,017 USD. That is a lot of money, but because I am Canadian I had to consistently convert CAD into USD, so the total I had to raise in CAD was $23,023.

I was scared. That is a lot of money, it is more money than my annual salary for a year. How was this money going to come in. I hate asking people for money, why would people want to support this trip? It was a hard lesson, but throughout the process of fundraising I have learned so many things. I hated the entire process, but if I didn’t have to go through it, the dependency that I have on the Lord would definitely not be as strong.

Fundraising has been a process, but it has been a good process. I have learned that the Lord will provide for me, if i just give him the space and the trust. I had to depend on him to bring in that money even when I was not home to talk to people and I had to believe that he wouldn’t send me on this trip if he wasn’t going to provide what I needed for it.

I thought fundraising from home was hard, but doing it from the field is even harder. God was faithful though and the money consistently came in, he taught me to trust that he was providing for me even when I wasn’t asking people for it. I would pray for specific things like anonymous donors or just little reminders and I would check my account and I would have all those prayers answered. I would have the donations I asked for and it was those moments that God was confirming me that he was hearing my prayers and providing for me. The most amazing part is I have raised more money in the past 5 months of being on the field than I ever received from the 10 months of fundraising at home. The Lord used all of you to provide for me and show me that I need to trust and lean on him!

As I sit here 16 months after beginning this journey I can officially say that the Lord has been faithful and has provided every bit of that money I needed. I am officially FULLY FUNDED and I could not be any more happier and grateful to each one of you. Words will never be enough, but know that you are all in my prayers and that you are all helping me love on the people I come in contact with!

Thank you for believing in me.

Thank you for listening to the call the Lord has put on your heart.

Thank you for blessing not only me, but all the people I come into contact with.

Thank you for your prayers.

Thank you for your encouraging words.

Thank you for following my journey.

Thank you for your help in building the Kingdom.

Thank you for being a part of my team!

While I am excited and thrilled to fully funded some of my squad mates are still in the process. I believe that the Lord is going to bring in the support for them as well. If you feel like you still want to support my trip, you can support me by helping these 4 ladies stay on the field with me. They are all incredible people and I am so happy to call them all my friends! Please pray for them, they need to be funded by June 1 or they will have to go home.

Klancy: She is a ray of sunshine. I have had so many amazing talks with this girl. She is filled so much wisdom and discernment. She is so gifted and is able to talk to any stranger, which usually ends in a great conversation about how the Lord has redeemed her life. I don’t know what this squad would look like without her she brings so much to the table. She still needs $1,909 to be fully funded. You can donate here. Please pray for her and for the Lord to continue to provide for her!

Linsey: She was my wonderful team leader of my first team. I loved getting to do life with her. She cares deeply and wants to hear everyone’s story. She has an amazing laugh and is always smiling, trying to find good in everything. She is great at checking in with people to see how they are doing and meets you where you are at. She still needs $1,338 to be fully funded. Please pray for her, I can’t imagine what this trip would look like without her! You can donate here.

Danielle: She is an amazing person and my travel day buddy. We always get to catch up on our long flights from country to country. She hears the Lords voice readily and has the gift of prophesying. She has given me advice and is great at listening to you. She welcomes everyone with open arms and loves well. She still needs $1,031 to be fully funded. Please pray for her and if you want to donate to her you can do so here.

Amanda: This is her third time out on the race. She is one of our amazing alumni squad leaders. These leaders only stay in the field for the first 5 months. They lead us and walk us through what the race looks like, then they raise up new leaders from within our squad and head home. They then come out to visit us at our last two debriefs. Amanda is an amazing young women and she believes in what the Lord is doing through this trip and through all of us. She is obedient and stepped into this role on our squad during our training camp because the Lord made it clear to her that this is where she needed to be. She has great wisdom and continually poors into our squad. She believes in us, but she is also in need of funds. She needs funds to finish out the year with us in South Africa. I ask that you pray for her as she enters a new season at home as she leaves us in a week and that the funds will come in so that she can end the race with us! She still needs $1,340 to be fully funded. You can donate here.

Thank you so much for your partnership!

Love,

Quinn
